We did take out, & and the food was well prepared & delicious: but make sure you ask for spicy mustard & soy sauce if you require. The Pork Egg Fu Young was excellent & spring rolls were very good but I prefer them with spicy mustard. My wife's assortment of three different dishes were great & she loves the let overs. We will go back!

Takeout Review: I've read good reviews and drive by this place all the time; I always say to myself, "I've got to try that place out." We finally ordered some takeout there recently. Ordering was easy, just a simple call; pickup was also quick and easy. The parking lot was spacious and so was the restaurant. I saw people dining in there. There was a fish tank and the person that helped me was friendly. Prices and portions were comparable to other Chinese spots. I ordered the orange chicken combo with fried rice, crab rangoons, plain lo mein for my toddlers, and my husband had the general tso combo. The crab rangoons were A+++ definitely up there with the best I've had; thin fried wonton wrapper and a larger amount of creamy, cheesey, imitation crab filling. The orange chicken was good, I'd say 4/5; not the best I've had but it did the job. Everyone enjoyed their meals and we would order there again.

Fast service, great food and about the only place that has a legitimate Peking Duck dish/experience. Highly recommend

We love Tan Wong. Anytime we can't figure out what to make for dinner this is our go-to. It's close to our house and they have delicious food and service. It's never more than 20 minutes on a to go order and the order is always correct. The wonton soup, fried rice, crab rangoon, and sesame chicken are our favorite, but everything we have ever had was delicious.

The best Chinese food in town. Always tastes great, staff is always friendly, and happy that they've been able to renovate the inside making ambiance great!

Great food ... so many favorites here...egg rolls...Duck sauce ... broccoli and chicken ... shrimp curry ... Our family enjoys the no MSG and the quality preparation ... The friendly service is a day brightened as well !

Continues to be the best local West Simsbury classic Chinese takeout. Staff is super friendly and I really enjoy the 2-style spicy lamb, the awesome egg rolls, chicken and broccoli, and house chili sauce. Quick, affordable, and plenty of space to eat indoors also! They were able to make me a nice curry beef too- this is one place I trust to make authentic (ish) takeout dishes and they will talk through all your tastes and wants over the phone to make sure it's right.

I live in California and every time we go to the east coast we make it a point to drive to Tan Wong. Yes we drive 2.5-3 hours sometimes just for the food! It's that great! Their lunch portions are big. We usually get the shrimp lo mein and pork fried rice. It's like nothing we've tried anywhere else in California! Make sure to get the delicious HUGE egg rolls! They crunchy but not too crunchy. You also get a soup ( we love the egg drop soup) and a crunchy snack. Don't forget the chili oil! It's the best we've ever had! We had to buy some to-go and brought it back to California! 10/10 food! We also recently tried their boba and it's delicious. Don't be fooled by the fact that there's not that many people inside. They mainly have take out orders but we prefer a sit down dining experience. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. Bathrooms are clean as well as the restaurant. Definitely stop by! I've already recommended this place to so many people!

We haven't eaten at Tan Wong in years but as I wanted Peking duck, we came back. We started with appetizers of spring rolls, fried dumplings, and crab rangoons. All were perfectly cooked, hot and delicious! The Peking duck was worth the trip. Crispy skin, moist delicious dark duck meat, scallions and plum sauce wrapped in a thin pancake. The beef and noodles was spicey and delicious. The General Tsaos chicken was tender and perfectly spiced. Tan Wong is a keeper.
